I'll probably take the Pony-B out, but leave the YAK-9U in place.  I'm at work right now, so I don't have a lot of time to look into this further, but I'll try to make the sides as even as possible.

hey...i'll be happy to take the yak 9u....make 'em all yaks as far as i'm concerned...as long as it's a wwII setup with opposing planesets, unlike the ma-istic stuff we had this week.

at least with the yaks, we'll be facing those who can handle 'em, and not have to worry about the influx of ma dweebs brought into the ct by the promise of free tempies and 262s.

shoulda known we'd get a good setup this week...i'm outta town till sunday.

have fun guys!  :)

Eddiek:

The problem with the Yak9U is like this. The La5 is much faster than any of the Finnish/LW planes under 10k or so where most fighting occurs. But it can be outturned by the BF109G2/G6 so there is some balance.

The Yak9T can outurn the 109Gs, but is just a touch slower and does not accel as well so again there is balance.

So with these two planes in the set it's possible for all the majors  have some advantage even in mixed fights but still maintain balance.

But if you add the Yak9U it breaks the balance. It can outrun, outurn, outaccelerarte all the 109s and 190s and it never runs out of "WEP" like performance. And thats the problem - it is the class of the G10, P51D, D9, and LA7.

And balance is what made the FinRus setups so popular in the past.

Just flew a sortie and it was fantastic, the lack of Yak9U made it just as fun and balanced as the first few times we had this setup.

The Ship's should take around 1,500 pounds for a ship that is not the lead ship, a Lead ship one acting as the Primary ship will generaly take 8,000 pounds to sink, their is also a window of time that the bombs nead to be deleaved withen to effect a cumlative damage effect, I think it's like 15 min but I am not shure.

Hello Eddiek!

Actually you have very old "demo" MOTD text from last November 2002...;)

You can find the correct setup and info text from here:

http://events.hitechcreations.com/terrain/Kanttori/FinRus/motd.txt

This new version also contains all hints and tips to this nevest FinRus update, for ex. from Tank Battle Villages.

I'm very pleased if you could replace the old MOTD text in CT with this. You can of course modify this text as you will, for ex. make it shorter...:)
