Rest In Peace FatBOB!
Dylan Brennan (04/04/1974 - 07/06/2003)
Lost His 7 year Dog Fight with cancer
This text was found on a notepad on the desktop of Dylan's labtop.

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am the bird that will never fall.
I am the love of a pilot in a brawl.
I am the child who has come to rest
In the arms of the Father who knows him best.

When you see the sunset fair,
I am the scented evening air.
I am the joy of a task well done.
I am the glow of the setting sun.

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.

Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die!

For my Friends i have left behind in BOP, I did not mean to leave so early in the game, But i will remember the Times we had when it was early in the morning and me and spork did bombing runs or Cdogbop lead the attack on some poor fool that was no match for my good friend cdogbop. I had fun you guys, and as i always said when being shot down, Awwwww CRAP!, Flconwing,Kite777, irnhand, 420fatty, cdogbop, sundownr, both jumps, SPORKY!!!And all the other pilots of the BOP squads. -FatBOB

I'm very sorry to hear of the loss of a fine gentleman.  If he was a member of the BOPS, I know all to well how close he and they were.  The BOPs are a close bunch who've been around for quite some time, enjoy one anothers company, and enjoy the competition of flying together in an online flight sim.

My repects to his family.....and my deepest sympathies also to his family and the BOPS.  Life is fragile.....doesn't last forever, and no one ever guaranteed it would be fair.  Life is a fight at times, and life also has it's victories and joys.

FatBob celebrates a victory just in the fact that he has left many friends.  And the courage to fight cancer for 7 years makes him a champion in my book.

Fatbob. He was a nice guy.
"Willy's gone and made another,
Something like it's elder brother-
Wing tips rounded, spinner's bigger.
Unbraced tailplane ends it's figure.
One-O-nine F is it's name-
F is for futile, not for fame."

This somehow hits home to me. His fist name is my middle, and we were born a month apart. The passing of a loved one, be they friend or family is always tragic, and especially so with someone so young.

FWIW... the words are a modification of this:

Quote

I did not die

Do not stand on my grave and weep
I am not there I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glints in the snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am a gentle Autumns rain
When you awaken in the morning hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
I am the birds in circled flight
I am the soft stars that shine at night
So do not stand on my grave and cry
I am not there.... I did not die
