Hitech what are you using as your baseline performance data?

Just so we can compare and such.

If you tell me what your using that provided specification for say the Mustang, 109, B-17G, Etc.

So I can check whatever documentation I have.

SO if according to your specification the P-51 should fly at 350 IAS at 10,000 Ft. and I fly to 10,000 Ft and I get 300 IAS.

Also what if find some performance data that makes the P-51 out to be a little hotter than the Virtual Performance that I test, to you want the source and info?

Will take any info you have. But just because your data says that's the way it is dosn't make it happen. If your data conflicts with ours we have to make a choice.
But be sure your data is first hand and not somthing out of a general book on planes or the p51.

Well I personally only have data on the P-40 but would be willing to hunt for more.  Was figuring that if you gave us links, or such to the reference information that you have we could run our own tests, and compare it to the data.

Thus giving us a baseline to work from.

I.E.(In Example?)

U.S.A.A.C. Flight Manual for the P-51.

Says that the P-51D max speed at 10,000 Ft. Is 378IAS. (I don't know the speed they claimed, documented, just making up numbers here.) WIth 50% Fuel and NO Weapons. No Drop Tank.  Allison Engine.

Well I climb in my AH Virtual P-51, I time its so I have exactly 50% fuel when I get to 10K and I open the throttle.  And I only get 376 Max IAS.

Well we have a 2 kt/MPH IAS variance here (and I wouldn't sweat 2 mph/Ias unless there seemed to be a skewed curve or pattern)

But I would be able to tell if my Virtual P-51 was performing to the numbers according to the data you were working from.

We could all run flights at different alt, and compare our numbers, and if there were difference, try to figure out why.

Hopefully everything would go according to the numbers, but you never know.

Downtown we already run all those test. And have special commands to make the test go quicker. Your more than welcome to do the test and some of the numbers we can publish in time, but in the early stages of the beta we realy are not woried about detail testing of all the models.This will come durring the later stages.

Also see all the threads in WB about this is 15 IAS too slow, that climbs 20 IAS to fast.
