Currently Stega is looking into a what if operation where the Royal Navy Fleets Carriers face off versus the Japanese Fleet Careers. Possibly the action in the Indian Ocean in April 1943 when the IJN attacked Ceylon. British land base planes did fight the IJN but the British fleet planes never came to grips with the IJN .. they played cat and mouse.

We don't have a terrain for this, do you guys mind a substitution for the Indian Ocean?

Substitutions don't bother me. Make it a fantasy terrain possibly?

Possibly use the midway terrain to simulate the Indian Ocean. Stegahorse is still determining things. He basically wanted a match up between the IJN and Royal Navy; since the Royal Navy are the ones that original trained and helped the IJN in its formative years.

Only thing that came close historically is the Ceylon action in the war. Although a British heavy carrier task force was involved in the pacific in 1944 .. but no real CV versus CV. Unless we do more of a what if.
