Here is a Cheap Revell 1/32 Hurri IIc that I built as a Hurri I, Bader's AC to be exact. While this kit is not very challenging, tranforming it into a Hurri I did require alot of filing, sanding, and filler. It was a fun little buil;d and the whole purpose of it was to hone some skills. The images are Bmp's, I apologize for their size. The guy that took the pics for me had the models for a while and didn't wash the dust off either. The paint was done freehand with an airbrush.

Great work, but there seems to be a fitting problem with the spinner and the fuselage?

sorry bout the size, I will jpeg them tomorrow. The spinner did not fit well at all, (not to mention the wing halves, and the wing-fuselage fit!) tehy were terrible. But what can you expect from this kit? BTW, I only paid $3 for it($5 total after shipping) off of ebay.

Having built a few Revell kits, I can attest to their horrible fit. I won't buy them anymore. Monograms are much better for cheap kits.

Never have done any models, but I imagine it's to keep the paint out.

Actually, that is cigarette rolling paper painted with a red-orange mix. I glued it on. It is meant to represent the tape that was placed over the gun bays that was used to keep moisture, debri, and ice out of there. It also allowed maintenance crews and pilots to know if any of the 8 30 cal machine guns were not functioning.

I was thinking that you would be able to see the muzzles of the guns, like this

Depends on if the pilot had already engaged in combat that sortie. In my case, the AC sits waiting for the arrival of Douglas Bader for a morning patrol over the English Channel.
