I’m keeping my account open, regardless of hours played. They are way down now, but it’s not because AH isn’t still a great product. Just have had some great distractions in life which is nice.
It’s only $14.95 a month, and if AH2 Beta is only a month or 2 away, I don’t subscribe to the pity party logic that leaving now just to come back for AH2 serves any purpose at all, other than taking revenue from HTC when they deserve it the most.
While players quit and wait for something they deem better, HTC still has to spend their resources on making the new graphics, FM codes, damage improvements, etc… I think it’s a slap in their face considering.
Seems to me HiTech and Co. have taken a very positive step to progress the game with the announcement of AH2, and will surely provide us subscribers with even more good stuff soon. For the same price too I bet. It has taken some time, sure, at the expense of updating the current game which is soon to be replaced, and it should. Certainly you guys caught that concept and realized the good of no more updates because the resources were being focused on bigger and better things ? Still, that doesn’t discount the righteous deal we have now, which is a really fun game, and I gladly pay the price of admission. Hell, as I see it, I can’t afford NOT to support HTC, especially now when they are putting out such a radical update in AH2. Every dollar helps a growing company.
Using their BBS to stage that you are yanking your support dollars for a month or 2 is kinda crappy I think. Unless Yankee, SuperT, Nate, and Skuzzy are making $95,000 a year which some bbs poster recently guessed. Then I say go ahead. With that kind of income, they pry do this as a hobby, and a favor to the players?
