I think Fileplanet is it.  Ive never seen a website so swamped before.  I have yet to bring up the DL page.

it's a single player only demo that's over 150meg.

Played it all the way through in about 10 minutes.  There's some cool features in regards to squad movement and such, but it's still got the healthbar 10 shots to kill you unless you get a medic pack mentality to it.

I give it a 5 out of 10 and don't really think this is worth the download.

IMO, its worth the download, but I dont think I'd buy it.

Concur with MiniD - squad 'feel' is good, weapons arent horrible, sounds and atmosphere is pretty good.

Default controls suck.

Fine game, better than MoHAA, but no DoD killer for sure.

DoD definately is better.

Its better then MoH by far but still arcady. 1 mission finished in about 8 min after a 19 min dl.

Not worth the dl just for that mission.

I bought MoH because I liked the offline stuff, online MoH sucks.

I am curious how this plays online. It most likely will have the Moh netcode that sucked. I wish there was a better demo to get a better feel. Everything looks good but I expected as much.

Up in the air over this one........

DoD is still king.......

Wish they'd realise that a bit more realism wouldn't hurt..

It probably would hurt sales Fishu...

But remember where DoD came from... its a mod..  MOH was and still is crippled in that there is no support for mods...  perhaps COD will be different.. lets hope so..

My thoughts..

Awesome +)

atmosphere great

sounds good

gfx are lovely

shooting from sights at last...  (well at least since HD...)

action seems realistic enough, seeing your squad facing an enemy squad across the road both sides hiding in whatever cover available, game does a decent job of that for sure

Controls, just about everythin you could ever need or want and easily configured how u like.

Yeah the 10 shots to kill you stuff takes alotta the "immersion" to a degree, though I only played through it on 2nd difficulty level.  I imagine at higher levels you won't survive so many hits..
Sure I'd like to see something abit more realistic when taking hits but... that mod will come probably not long after the game goes on sale, perhaps final version will have a real damage mode who knows..

Worth the purchase IMO

I agree that they should have a realistic mode.  One with realistic leathality, no silly health packs and realistic weapon/ammo carrying capacity (though CoD is slightly better that the standard FPS in this regard).

However, I recognize that it could only be a mode, not default as too many sales would be lost if it didn't have the standard first person shooter stuff.

Still, unlike DoD this is a single player game and nicely atomosphereis and I will probably pick it up.

Skurj,

CoD is being done by mostly the same people who did MoH, though it is a new company and a different publisher.

I am personally looking forward to the mods dome with HL2's Source engine.  Valve knows how big a role the mod community played in HL's success and are working to continue that tradition.

Good atmosphere, great sounds/Fx..

I liked the AI.. the germans I felt used cover very well (how much was scripted?) and often ran to behind cover when caught out of the open...

Finished it fairly quickly, not sure about buying...perhaps a little too much like MOHAA. Needs a realistic mode (more like DOD)

What tronski said, and the battle flashes in the sky really added to the feeling of being in battle. TOO much like MOHAA, but good. Not great from what I was anticipating, but again, worth the download.

Attacking the quad AA gun was pretty great gameplay/grafix work. The muzzle flashes were awesome. What a AA rig that is.

If it would support squad vs. squad human players with AI on each side to fill the gaps, this would be terrific multiplayer.

PS:  I tried the game on the hardest difficulty level last night.

As far as I can tell, it allows for 1 shot, one kill on you - I dunno how many shots to teh enemy on this level as I couldnt get passed the 'cow field.'

The gunners dont miss.  :D

Just played it again.  I love the shell-shock type effects of a near miss mortar or grenade.
