World War Two Gamers Convention
« on: September 15, 2003, 11:42:35 PM »
The 1st Annual World War Two Gamers Convention. It started out as the annual Warbirds players CON. But since the game company no longer sponsors the convention, players have decided we need to make it an event for all WWII gamers.

This is not just a “sit-around-the-bar” event, bring your computer, play your favorite games online with others in the same room. Enjoy meeting others you only know by their callsign. They’ll be a tour of the Air Force Armament Museum, Special Operations Airpark, an AC-130 Gunship, and hear our guest speaker, a Doolittle Tokyo Raider, from WWII.

Destin/Fort Walton Beach, Florida Nov 13-16 @ http://www.WorldWarTwoGamers.com

Aces High: specgunr
Warbirds: -ammo-

What does it mean "no longer sponsers"?  Where you expecting them to pay a portion of it?  Or do they just not want to be associated with it anymore?

LOL

This convention was never set up on conditions that iEN sponsor it. Once we knew they were not having a CON 03, some players decided to make our own and open it up to all and make it a family affair. We think it would be great for all of us to meet and play our games.

I've been to both Aces High and Warbird conventions, it's time to combine all of us and have a blast.

You can't beat the price and location.

I will pay for a quarter ticket Fishu. That means when you get halfway over they push you out of the plane.

They might not let you in Fishu...

All Swedes have to get new passports in order to travel to the USA (demand from USA).

Destin/Ft. Walton Beach would be cool.  I can bring my digital camera, hold it in my lap, and take pictures of a con-goer's girlfriend.  Then, when she gets hysterical due to her paranoia, I can consol her with long walks on the beach.
