Just a heads up fellas. Lots of new stuff. Three new aircraft (J2M3, B25C & G4M). Revised control regime. New hi res external textures. New TPC map with place names. The list goes on. ................Check it out

Not bad for a bunch of "amatuers" ;)

Would love to.  But it's video perf on my rig is still pretty bad (single digit FPS off line, flying alone).  I'm hoping the GFX will get some tweaking and optimisation fixes soon.

Damn, would love to play, but its never recognized my Saitek X45 combo and USB CH Rudders...and lifes too busy these days to "hack at it" to get em to work.  Guess I've gotten lazy and "expected" the software manufacturers to remedy this before release...is that too much to ask? Beta test the popular controllers on the software? Probably...

You don't. Just download & install the TW Engine (6meg) & then start it up & hit "download mods". That will download & install the latest patch for whatever you select (TR, TK, TF). There are also direct download links on the bbs for those who don't like to or can't use the Download Mods option.

Rip, are you saying that version .56 doesn't like your controllers either ?? Lots of work went into controller setups this time. I know of several people that have X45s working OK, so make sure its not your end first ehh ?? ;)

Westy, whats your rig mate ??

Thanks Baders. I've followed the tips and tweaks and while over all my rig (AMD 2400+, 512mb mem, MX300 sound card and GEforce2 GTS 64mb) I know my failure point (for Targetware) is the GFX card.
I'm sure that a much better GFX card would do wonders for me in acheiving higher FPS but I'll be completely honest in that I do not understand why that would be.  While the aircraft are nicely detailed the rest of the graphics I've seen is just so-so at best. IMO the graphics are quite dated looking in comparison to AH, WB III, WWIIO or even FA.  All of those perform wonderfully on this system.
So while I'm excited that T:Rabaul, Flanders and Korea have "realism" features I've onbly wished and dreamed of untill I get a better GFX card or T:W gets a major GFX optimisation fix (get the CPU to handle more of the load, and not the GFX card if that's possible) I'll have to just keep an eye on it's progress from afar.
