The question has often been asked....is Alf Frenchy enough?

my apologies to those with dialup connections, this one is a monster in its full form.  A small version (13 megs @ 320x240) is available, but to experience the P47 in all its glory, your looking at 60 megs @ 640x480.  The film is five and a half minutes long with almost a full 5 minutes of content.

SMALL 13 megs (wimpy dialup dweebs click here)

Super Dudes MEGA 60 megs of glory!

combathanger 2 is comming.......stay tuned

How do you manage to get the files so "small"? Mine gets HUGE with just s few secs of video when i make AVI files of the AH videos.

LOL....60 megs smalll....I have a hard drive thats only 35 :D

I compress the living sheet out of them.  Generally, I end up using windows media player files for compatability with various peoples machines, but please NEVER use that as your only saved format...its a ***** to change from WMV to anything else tjhanks to Micro$softs lawyers.

you need a good CODEC, the WMV is good enough.  Stay away from divx, I once championed the codec, but it has reciently gone commercial (as in you gotta pay to use it....blech)...besides MPEG is a video standard (all satalite and cable uses mpeg compression).

Mpeg 2 or 4 is fine...just tweek all the settings based on the needs of your film till you get the smallest file size with an acceptable picture....dont forget about audio....no need to waste file size there...again....smallest that still sounds good to you.

When you say 'off' what do you mean?  muted....washed out....purple with green dots?

Compression tends to cahge colors on large empty fields (ie:the sky looks banded) but doesnt change the overall colors.  Check your OVERLAY controls in your vid card setup

Ok by "off" i mean, The Skies Orange, the Tracers are Blue, the Tanks Blue. I'd post you a print screen, but they removed that feature and I don't have a picture hosting place. Alright when I get home I'll check the color overlay, it is a geforce FX, read some where on these boards they have issues. (Maybe this is one of them)

Thanks ALF, and again nice video.
