Will the upcoming beta have AI pilots or just drones? Could there mabey be an h2h lan mode?

If I'm remembering a past interview with HT correctly, he stated that the AI would be able to fly formation and fire defensively.  But he was not going to attempt to code any sort of dogfighting AI.  Again, if memory serves.
