You ment "gropinator"?

A power-abusing cheapskate liberal with an "(R)" after his name having to contend with a liberal lieutenant-governor, legislature, judicial system and electorate.

Even if he does his utmost best, the California will still be disaster but now it will be held as an example of conservative failure.

Just like the supposed "deregulation" of California electricity market (that is almost as free as the Chinese market now) was held as a failure of the Free Market or the results of the federal monetary, fiscal and trade policies in the 1920-30s were held as failure of Capitalism.

 Congrats!

Miko2d,

I think you maybe missed it. I posted a thread for you - I wanted your opinion (if applicable, i.e. if you were involved in some way) of a FMSO study on a series of battles in Afghanistan. I think you'll find it interesting reading regardless of your personal involvement (or lack thereof).

Let me know what you think please (in another thread).

First Bush, then Arnold...  US is going nuts over speeches rather than thinking what are their capabilities other than talking yaddayadda!

This statement alone shows you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about when on the American politics topic.

Absolutely true, but we live in a democratic society. What fraction of the population do you think is mentally equipped, let alone informed to make a judgement of a candidate's capabilities?

In a free market top people are never elected by customers, they raise against competition making a profit through best satisfying customer wishes where others fail.

Imagine if we did not buy the products that are already made by sucessfull people but rather voted for people promising to make those products for us. We would be still in stone age and going downhill. That's where we are politically.
Why do you think historically democracy never lasted in a strong centralised state and always brought ruin to the afflicted civilisation?

Sometimes, change is good. The people in California got fed up and wanted to see some new leadership. This is democracy at work.

At the very least, Arnold should be more able than Davis to make the hard decisions that step on people's toes and buck the system in Sacramento - simply because he is an outsider.

One thing about Arnold ... this guy is not a loser. He has the ability to set goals and focus intensely. He might be able to help the situation in California. I wish him well.
