More good economic news...
« on: October 10, 2003, 08:33:25 AM »
8:30 Economics – PPI – Maury Harris: PPI came in at 0.3% vs consensus of 0.1%. exluding energy it was flat. Continue to have some modest upward pressure. Trade deficit for August was released and is a pretty stale number because its from August, however, it is important as economists use this number to fine tune GDP forecasts. The number was at 39.2B for August vs. consensus of 41.5B. July was revised down as well.

Now, could you explain what in your post should make us think it is really a good news, as the label indicates?
Mind you, I am not arguing yet. Just fail to see at first glance, how is the flat PPI and lower TD constitute good news rather than bad or undetermined?
