Frame Rates at various Resolutions

Test at 3 resolutions

(1) Desktop 1024  (2)1280 (3) 1600  All 32
bit unlimited FR

Tower with clipborad up
 (1) 42fps
 (2) 47
 (3) 47


Tower no Clip
 (1)  51  
 (2) 56
 (3) 57

OTR Spit 5 engine running  
(1) 24  
(2) 28
(3) 29

Wheels up  
(1) 34  
(2) 38  
(3) 39

Verticle
(1)  85  
(2) 85  
(3) 75  

(max refresh on monitior in each case)

Guns firing tracer on  
(1) 19
(2) 19
(3) 22

Overall impression was higher resolution smoother and better it ran.

Some stutter at lower resolutions lessened as resolution increased

Athalon 1.4ghz
512meg ddr
Creative GF4 4800se 128meg
45.23drivers
19" Mitsubishi CRT Max Refresh 85Hrz
Windows XP up to date service pack etc

fr in twr 71 @ 640 x 480
72 @ 800 x
68 @ 1024 x
70 @ 1280 x
56 @ 1600 x


@ 1024 bout 45 takin' off and trackin' drones; fr 19 when firing at em from 200 d.

I think I am seeing a pattern and I am not sure why.  It really looks like amds are getting hosed.  Wonder whats up?

(my p42.8 is getting 50-75, 75 being pegged to my  monitors refresh [lcd])

I used to use a athlon 2100 (1.5 ghz I think) and that equaled my p2.8 in fps.  

Do you think there may be some code stuff like debuggers or something they run in beta that may cause the hunger?
