Filter on private channels?

I can understand if you dont want
people cussing on the public channel.
God forbid we just put a /filter command in, or that we allow people to just squelch other people..

But tonight i got squelched 2 times in a row for saying toejam and diddly on our own private squadron channel.

This is roadkill man.

Just curious, but have you ever tried to express your views, feelings and opinions without those words? Trust me it is possible, especially in English where you have seventeen synonyms for each word.

Why do you get upset by someone squelching you, it simply means that he does not appreciate what you have to say.

Surely, you do not mean that the freedom of speech means that someone of your choosing has to listen to it, do you?

We are pissed be because the game squelches us even on the private channels unabling us to talk or give critical information to out wingmen or squad mates ya freaken preppy.

Mietla, I personally tend to agree with your opinion on swearing.  However, what Botabing is referring to is being muted by the host for cursing on a squad channel, which I think is NOT acceptable.

Muting on channels 1-3?  Welllll, that's debatable.  Squad channels and the V channels?  No way.  These are private channels, and any problem with swearing within them should be discussed by the participants, but should not be forcefully moderated.

I worry that if this continues for long, people will be leaving AH in droves.

Whether you're for it or against it, you gotta admit it is a gutsy move by HTC. I really don't mind it, but I can kinda see torques point about squad channel.
