I'll elaborate on the films intentions.
We've all seen and heard why the RAF fought, thus this film has to first debunk that propaganda, then it goes into why the Luftwaffe fought, which was for peace.
I will show how the RAF was selfish, Churchill was a warmonger and Hitler was the peaceful one who was provoked to fight an unnecessary war, instead of allowing Germany to fight it's true enemy, the Soviet Union.
On the lighter side of the story, it also shows a great battle where the Luftwaffe is completely surrounded, but you can hear it in their voice that they would not only make it out alive, but get their mission done.
This isn't my first propaganda film and whenever I do indeed fly as an RAF pilot[shudder], I'll portray them as the good guys in that film.
Conclusion:
With hindsight, we can see right and wrong more clearly, but to them it was all a grey area in their decision making at the time. It's understandable and forgivable.
