Well ... it is the heart of Aces High. You'll find very few PT boat squads.

"High fidelity flight simulation is the heart of Aces High but it doesn't end there.  A war rages on the ground and at sea.  Engage enemy armor in tank combat.  Protect your fleet as a gunner or make a torpedo run in a PT boat.  Lead an assault in an amphibious vehicle.  With over 100 warbirds, vehicles, and boats available, you have access to a vast virtual arsenal."

Going back to the original question; if not animation how about adding a sound bite to the 30 second rearm time. the sounds of rockets, bombs, droptanks, ammo, fuel,  finished off at the end when the Ground Crew Chief yells at you that your're good to go.

just a thought    :old:

Sort of a hijack, sorry, but The troops can dance, but only use a. running animation in gameplay

What else are they capable of? and why?... :noid

My Ground crew often brings me cocktails when I am on the rearm pad ... and sometimes when I land in France, I get those little cresent-shaped pastries ... they are nice.

Simple fix for a lot of things, do away with the re-arm pad!!

But the re-arm pad is fun.  Sometimes it is fun to pull up to a re-arm pad and say "fill 'er up", instead of ending the sortie and re-spawning.

Ok, that would be fun.  What we have now is the plane gives a little bounce when the re-arm is done.  As if someone disconnected a fuel hose, or jumped off the wing.  Some sound effects might add some fun.

Or dump several thousand pounds or ordinance and fuel onto the aircraft.
