That tvn weather site is sweet.  My son in law is in Enid on a rig so we are now watching it together.  Riding alone with the vehicles is really cool.

Been an interesting afternoon here in the Texas Panhandle.  Numerous tornado warnings off and on all afternoon.  Had a touch down south of Panhandle, which is 11 miles west of where I live.  Pea to marble sized hail here, torrential rains...........right now it's stopped, the storms have moved off to the east.
Glad to be home.  This time last week I was out in western OK on a well that was down in a ravine, with trees on the south and southwest sides.  Had to leave location to get up where I could see the storms.  It can be scary and nerve wracking when you are in town and hear the storm sirens go off.........try being miles from any town and one of these storms comes rolling in.  My standard MO is to shut the well in, shut in all the equipment, then get the heck out of Dodge.  I can always come back later and open everything back up if the storm didn't tear it all up.  If the location takes a direct hit, the well being shut in will prevent the release of any oil, gas, water, etc..........and I will still be alive.
Stay on your toes, folks.  They are predicting another round later tonight for those of us living in this area.

I've been couped up in the house all day due to a stomach bug, it was clear up until 20 minutes or so here then it started raining and thundering. Sounds like eddie got the bad end of it.

:airplane: Weather is always enjoyable to watch and see mother nature at work, especially if you are in a safe place. Its a lot different if you are at 8 to 10,000 MSL, trying to navigate around these things, especially when they "join" hands and start marching around together.
Many times in years gone by, I did a 180 and waited on the ground for them to pass, then completed the flight. While most everything I ever flew, except single engine stuff, had an on board weather radar, at that time in my life, the rain "shield would blank out the cell its self, so you had to be very careful where to penetrate a line of storms in order to work your way thought them.
Until a pilot has a vast amount of experience, wouldn't advise anyone "scud" running to get through these things, just land and watch from the ground, then complete your flight.
Blue Skies and wind at my back and wish that for all!!!

Twin funnel clouds spawned by a supercell 35 miles me of Garden City Kansas. It was a good chase not in the sense that I saw a tornado which I did not, but I got to witness first hand the transformation of a typical thunderstorm into a supercell over the period of an hour. If you all like, I can post more pictures of the said transformation when I get back home to Florida after me appointment with the Neurosurgeon.

I was just on a job site in Dodge City. At 4pm I saw an interesting cloud formation and decided to investigate. I've been working in the Great Plains region of the country between Amarillo TX, and Williston ND since 2006. Spending that amount of time in Severe weather prone areas of the U.S I've gained certain instincts pertaining to Severe TStorms. As for my health, I'm not sure what exactly I have, just some sort of Tumor in my Clivus for what ever that means. I do how ever appreciate everyone's concern
