Lost! The wind changed and the mountains are on fire .... almost a 20 mile fire line in the San Bernardino Mtns. Very very bad.

This is like a huge hurricane hitting the area.

MT i'm up here north of lancaster (edwards AFB) and we are completly smoked out.  I'm a smoker and my eyes and throat burn when i go outside.   We are probably an HOURs drive from the nearest fire.

God bless our fire fighters

We are west of the Old fire. We had bad smoke until the winds changed today. Just heard that the FFighters were overwhelmed near Arrowhead.. 200+ homes just went.

Those fires you have over there are probably the most devastating in US history.

I hope they get them under control .

To the firefighters and residents of CA affected by the fires, and good luck.

Very sad when folks loose their lives and properties this way, hope they can put it out soon.

Good luck if any of you live nearby.

Good luck and stay safe out there MT.

Those fires have reached epic proportions. We had some bad wildfires in Florida a few years back, but nothing on the scale of what you Californians are dealing with. Hope they can get them under control soon.

not if it gets to the desert. all the high desert is is dried brush and it would take nearly a flash flood to stop it if it get to there. it would easily go from 100,00 acres to say 350,000 acres if it gets to the desert.

Tragic news indeed on the fires. Best of luck to all those effected and hope the conditions change for the better soon.
