I believe its a converted sea plane, you know the kind with two pontoon,s, launched from battle ships and the like.

There were indeed versions of the OS2U with floats that could launched from catapults.

However, I wonder why Brady hasn't confirmed the type yet?

According to my source, the OS2U-3 was a land plane, but maybe he's waiting for the OS2N-1 designation which was the same aircraft built by the Naval Aircraft Factory?

      My understanding is that Both the 2 and the 3 could be fitted with Wheals for operation on land.
