Good proof that handgun hits are not at all like Hollywood.

I believe he was using a .38 spl, based on the smoke and slight recoil from the round, could have been smaller though.

Makes ya think about stoping power, as the lawer was not a druged up nut case ( I don't think:D ).

I think the shooter should sue the gun maker and Hollywood for his failing to drop the Barrester on the first shot.

BB most peeps don't just run toward someone shooting someone, I know I would be a bit slow on the run myself, and I am carring most of the time. Gun shots are BAD things to happen to you.

Just goes to show, in this world, you have to protect yourself.

You know you really ought to get a life. Your post smacks of a gross lack of experiance in any situation remotely like this. The time for someone to get out of a building was rather short. He then moved to attack an armed suspect while he himself was  unarmed due to court regulations. That is conduct hardly deserving of your comments.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

whats the big deal? he only shot a lawyer, not like a real human being. watch the news, listen to why he went off on this lawyer. seems almost justified to me.

LOL!

Much safer being an accountant I guess....although I've heard that there are courses being offered on "off balance sheet" transactions and how to keep them that way.;)

It was pretty obvious this clown had no prior experience with hand guns. Guys like this give licensed prudent gun owners a bad name, and gives more fuel to the anti-gun crowd.

Could you please do me a favor and include the whole quote (i.e the last line)

Thanks!

Rip...you're a blow-hard, gas-bag on this board. I've got no problem with that actually...but don't deny it."

Although my avitar is somewhat derrogatory of "tree huggers", if the guy that was being shot at was me, I'd change my opinion and hug every tree I saw. That tree saved his life without question.

Simply amazing

P.S. perhaps he should have saved a bullet or two for all the cameramen that did nothing but continue filming. Then they would have had an excuse for not grabbing the SOB as he nonchalantly walked away after he ran out of bullets. The news media again stifles me with their cowardice. The old song "Dirty Laundry" always comes to mind.

Clients always blame their attorneys when things don't go their way.  Still, if the shooter was upset that his attorney was being paid from a trust fund, I have to wonder why his attorney didn't tell him that but instead he had to find out from the court hearing.  I almost wonder if the attorney was double-dipping; getting paid a flat fee by the shooter and also a percentage from the fund.

Pretty dramatic stuff.  Love a tree.  It just might save your life!

The lawyer was on TV this morning. Hand injuries and a bullet in his neck, but he is going home from the hospital already.
