That lawyer did one hell of a job utilizing minimal cover to save his life.  Sure, he took a few rounds -but at three feet distance he saved himself quite nicely with the help of a mere shrub!

For those that didnt see it:  The lawyer guy, in his mid 50s, was approached outside a courthouse in Kalifornia by a distraught client of about the same age with what appeared to be medium sized caliber revolver.  The lawyer managed to put a small pruned tree between himself and the shooter maintaining about two to three feet serparation  and ducking left/right up/down like the wiley coyote for 5 or 6 shots.  The lawyer took several rounds to the upper torso/neck/head region but none proved to be lethal.  The shooter, looking somewhat surpirzed with his aim, suddenly  turned and walked away.  The lawyer kind of walked himself away in the opposite direction and set himself down a few seconds later.  The shooter walked away but was man-tackled by a security gaurd and several others.

The footage was captured by several different cameras.  Fascinating to watch.

The guy that tackled him was a lawyer and off duty Sheriff's Deputy. They had him on Jimmy Kimmel last night.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.

I saw that.  Amazing that he was hit a few times and didn't even flinch..because he was still dodging bullets.  Adreniline must be one of the powerful naturally produced drugs in the world!

Too bad the lawyer wasn't armed with some rum and a sandwich .  This whole nasty incident could have been avoided.:p

LOL Animal

Yeah I saw that on FOX news yesterday, pretty surreal scene: a woman on the payphone in the background, cameras everywhere and this poor guy is dodging bullets at point blank range behind a small tree. You can see what looks like some hits at times.

Then the shooter runs out of ammo and kinda looks perplexed for a second, then calmly walks down the street, with cameramen in tow, for about 15 seconds as if nothing happened. The guy who was shot just puts both hands in the air and walks into the street, as if to say "wtf? didn't any of you people just see that?"

Then this guy comes flying into the shot and tackles the shooter.

I bet the sherrifs deputy was watching the whole incident from the court house and waited for the guy to run out of ammo.  Then he ran onto the scene "Heres my big chance to be a hero, even though the victim has been shot several times and the suspect is out of ammo!"

Just goes to show, in this world, you have to protect yourself.

You guys missed the best part of this story. Most of the cameras (there for the Robert Blake trial) were initially distracted by a lady exiting the courtroom at the same time as the shootings. She was dressed as a Hooters Girl for halloween.

Play the video from this site and you can see her on the payphone in the background.

It wasn't amazing at all in light of the fact dodging bullets from disgruntled clients is a prerequisite in law school. The fact the barrister took two rounds convinces me he got no better than a C minus in that course.
