YES!!   M18 Hellcat...  I would crap my pants twice.  I've wanted that since the first GVs were modeled :)

had this posted some where on here but just as easy to put a pic of the m18 hellcat..had a better 76mm than the M4 and its armor wasnt that great but killed tanks with the shoot and scoot method. due to the tiger not be able to turn the turrent fast enough to see it,  the max speed was 55 mph so it would get killed easy but it will also do the same to tigers and pnzers and woudl keep me out of using nazi stuff.. and back in US goodies, and a T34 and M4 is also needed. no more german stuff

How about a:

M-36 Slugger Tank Destroyer

The M-36 Slugger could deal with the Tiger and Panther.  Although it had been determined that the Sherman couldn't be fitted with a 90mm gun since a new turret was required, a tank destroyer was standardized with the gun.  The Slugger and its 90mm gun proved extremely useful in dealing with the best Germany had to offer.

i wonder though since it is open on top for gunner crew how easy it would be set up. just like the osti a few rounds of anything in turrent would kill the gun. wonder if it would do the same , would a few mg rounds take out turrent also . since it would be hit by air too. the ony reason i didnt say that one . M18 is as fast (55)as a m3. and would help out defending base capture by racing m3 there. it would be a good back up for m3,s also to keep up with it some what . would serve multiple roles and a m18 with the more powerful 76mm than the m4 . I would hate to race a M18 in a M3 to town.  just want a more multi role tank in US than m8 and the 90mm would be perked like tiger where the m18 is about same as pnzr but lighter  armor  M36 also could only hold 47 90mm/and open turrent would be a drawback frm small arms fire since armor was really thin on turrent. I would rather have speed and the new high velocity 76mm M18 had,

So i guess it could be one or the other both have weaknesses but m18 would be tougher from bullets than m36(turrent gun)

wow, 55mph max speed?

If you want to attempt to compete with a Tiger/Panther, why not throw in a Pershing?

It'd be great to develop a ground war with many different GVs... just throw'em all in :)

I'd like some German/Allied equivalents of all vehicles...

M3/Sd.Kfz 251
M4 or M18/Pzkw IV
T34/Tiger/Panther/Pershing
Jeep/Kubelwagon
Self-propelled guns (Wespe/Marder)
StuG III/Priest/Hetzer

I know I know... this isn't WWIIOL... but it couldn't hurt to add more GVs once the aircraft is filled out.

I am pretty sure the 76MM gun on the m18 is the same as the 76MM they put in later shermans.

The Sherman started the war with a crappy low velocity 75MM gun that could not penatrate the armor of a Tiger or Panther even at point blank from the front.

The M10 Wolverine was the first tank destroyer to use the 76, and it was an adapted 3 inch naval canon.

They later, like in 1944 started to retrofit this into older shermans and then making some with that canon at the factory.

The difference in penatration power of the sherman 76, and the M18, is the ammo. They tank destroyer units got specail ammo, like APCR or something while the normal tank units had to use standard solid AP.

I would take M4 but would rather have m18 could do more with it. it was just Fast and out run and catch up to the main battle tanks in there now. would love to chase down a tiger cause the guy used to much ammo and tried to drive away back to base to rearm.. M18 could catch them and kill them.. and if a m3 is sneaking into a take town we have a chance to catch it and kill it  . it IS better than M8 cause 50cals cant really take out m18 like you can the m8 in a M16/M3 or the LVT w/troops that was the main reason. . But have nothing against the M4 either, if i am going to be in a killed in a one hit tank. might as well be in a fast one.. . you could over run bases really fast and support can get there faster. since GV's bases seem to be getting farther away. when your defending a base and have to spawn from another for support.. Just gets there faster and will make tigers and pnzrs worry. Most would say t34 or m4 over M18 . why they would say M4 that would be programed to be the M4 weak slow and underpowered. you would never make it up some of the hills in the game. it would be really under powered for all that stuff.  and tigers and pnzrs had range on it.. you would be dead before you got close enough to any of the tanks in game. if you tried to take long distance shots well the week 75mm in m4 would run out of killing power when it got there

i am trying to think game wise,  the speed and the 76mm high power. and some of the hit and run tactics. to me where the M4 would not do well in. imagine 6 m18 at 50mph rolling in at a base.. the turrents on the tigers and pnzers could not keep it in sights during reloads to stop to many of them... right now in game two tigers and two pnzrs can almost shut down a town from being saved once they get in. with out air power taking out tigers.
