Picked it up this afternoon - mainly to see how my newly pieced together frankencomputer would react to a new game.

I wasnt expecting much, but it turns out I was surprised.  While it most definately has that cheesy MoH feel, its fun.  Those of you that played the first demo level, the AAA map, as I did - the game has only gotten better than that so far.

Recommended.

It's a lot of fun, but it crashes too often for me.  I'm on the last Brit mission.  I played a little on-line last night and enjoyed that too.  Maybe I was just lucky, but the on-line part of the game seemed more stable.

It does have some neat "movie" scenes, but its quite straight forwarded game,  which makes it boring IMO.
Too  limited options to do something

COD is the most fun I have had in an action game in quite some time.

Definetly better than Halo and Max Payne 2.

Sounds like a driver problem..

I suggest reinstalling of your hardware drivers (and uninstall driver first if possible)

So that pretty much means reinstalling of graphics driver, sound driver and possibly also VIA & DX9.

Hey, Sardaukar, I saw you on an RO server tonight.  It was Spartakovka and you were PPS sniping from the ally, and I kept sniping you. :)

I go by the name Liet there.  Lookin forward for RO to become more polished, it's awesome.

Engine/Liet you sniping bastage! Good job on Kiev map tonight. I was able to sneak underground and cap you from behind once. Damn I love Red Orchestra!!!  :)

For those who like CoD, do yourself a favor and pick up UT2003 for $20 and download RO mod. Best WWII game I've ever played...and I've played them all. Amazing it's still just a beta.

HEY!... I'm not sneaky.  But I've been having a a real BLAST in RO!

Hey Saur/Engine... ya'll find that bug in Berlin yet? It may have been fixed with the last patch.  I've only "used" it once, but I accidentally found a spot where if you "go prone" while crouched you can fall into a mound of debrie.  Nobody can see you but you can shoot normally lol.  Probably had 60kills before I ran outta ammo... Germans just kept comin.. more and more of'em!  Ya I know it was cheap but hey, you only get lucky once hehe.

How does RO play? Like DOD? MOH? How's the weapon selection and are there a lot of people playing?

As I write this my clan the 1stSF is writing the realism mods for CoD --we will have our server switched over from MOHAA to CoD within a month --we are a tactical realism clan and it will have the basic Mods we have run in MOH---No RanG and pee pee dancing --weapons mods will fix both damage models and recoil-- we will also NOT run the kill cam......Our test server is up and running now and it should be unlocked by this weekend if not before,,Look for the 1stSF name on the server. If you are interested in joining/forming a tact clan let us know, we are trying to promote this form in CoD also.
