vader, CNN said they don't care if they get it right, they just want to broadcast it first.
Ok, I'll bite. Please cite the source of that stupendously idiotic statement.
Journalists are educated to question everything, and to take an objective look and get the "facts". Human nature is prone to interpreting facts. CNN and other so-called liberal media outlets tend to have a somewhat liberal interpretation of these facts, while Fox News and it's so-called conservative brethren take a more conservative interpretation.
The truth is, contrary to popular reactionary opinion from both sides, that both sides of the media political fence do make attempts to give opposing views. But often that gets filtered out by the viewer who only hears what he/she wants to hear.
If you ask me, the strongest bias comes from the viewer, when they watch the news. If you happen to agree with their interpretation, then you barely even acknowledge it, because your mind is saying "Well, of course", etc.
But if you happen to disagree with the interpretation, you immediately cry foul and accuse the media representative in question of liberal or conservative bias, perhaps even before they have the chance to present an opposing viewpoint.
