Of course, this is one of the oldest debates in online simming...
But the fact is, it all depends on on what it is you're trying to accomplish as a sim-pilot.
If your goal is to be the best furballer around, even if you die, then what you're saying is true.
If your goal is to try and develop the skills REAL fighter pilots depend on, then dieing, no matter how many you took with you, is a BAD(tm) thing. If we all wanted to develop pure ACM skills, then why even haven't different planes? Put us all in Spitfires (or FW190A5's) and we'll see who's the "best." But we don't, because each of us wants to get a little something different out of our experience.
