1943 - USA M18 Gun Motor Carriage "Hellcat"
Armament:       1 - 76mm gun
                            1 - 0.5" MG AA
Engine:             Continental, 9 cyl., radial air-
cooled, gas, 340 or 400 hp
Speed;               55 mph
Range;               105 miles
Crew:                  5
Weight;               17 tons

Much smaller and lighter than M-10. Over 2,500 built.
Only AFV designed specifically for TD. Excellent
power-to-weight ratio. Fastest production AFV of WWII .
Used "shoot and scoot" tactics. Also used as an assault
gun and Self-Propelled Artillery. Used the same 76mm gun
as the Sherman. Light  weight and a 400 hp engine gave it
excellent speed and mobility. One of the best Tank Destroyers
of WWII

Also looks like one hit and it's dead. While the same may hold true for the Sherman I'll stick with petitioning for it and the T-34. There's definately a need for both since they were out in numbers and would fill in the main gap in a tank vs tank portion of most scenarios.

It is as fast as the M8 but with more punch and the US during the war went with numbers when it came to tanks. thats why the m4 was famous. M4 was dead with one shot had a weak 76mm than the panzer, was slow and with the gas engine burst into flames alot, Used too many types of engines and they were on short demand to rplace them. wasnt that good but you cant kill 50,000. when your tank production gets shut down from airraids, they would win from shere numbers not for advancement in tank technology, But it had numbers to overwhelm the enemy to attack pnzrs and tigers and the panther,
well we did have the halftrack with the arty piece in it for antitank too

Sarge, do you have details of armor protection of that experimental heavy tank ?

Looks quite small for it`s weight, I`d guess it was well armored.

Yes, it wasn't heavily armored. However, it was the fastest armored vehicle (tracked) on the planet (55 mph cross country, 65 on roads). It was faster than the M2 and M3 halftracks of the support units. In addition, its 76mm gun firing HVAP ammo could kill anything it might encounter. Finally, it is a Tank Destroyer, not a tank, and it was the best TD of WWII, bar none. German tankers positively feared and hated the M18. It would fire from concealment and scoot to a new location at breakneck speeds.  Even in open country, its speed was such that German tanks couldn't not track it even at 2,000 yards (turret rotation speed was far too slow for that). It was sometimes used as a breakthrough vehicle, simply because nothing else could maneuver into the enemy's rear as quickly. At the end of the war, the M18 had the best kill to loss ratio of any allied armored vehicle, including the newly arrived M26 Pershing.

The best way to deal with the M18 was to ambush it, usually with shoulder launched weapons like the Panzerfaust or Panzerschrek.

I would be happy with the M18.. that would cause some of the feerless tigers in game that up with not much fear of being taken out. and in defense of tiger guys if you can hit it it is dead so both could win and bring balance to GV game.. you would see less use of M8 that is for sure for anti tank. and the T34 for a russian era tank. the Panther came out to get the t 34 pic of t34's killer below

1943- German PzKw V Panther Model G
Armament:       1 - 75mm gun KwK 42 L/70
                            1 - 7.92mm MG
Engine:             Maybach HL230P30, V-12 gas, 700 hp
Speed:              28.6 mph
Range:             125 miles
Crew:                5
Weight:             50.2 tons
Developed in response to Russian T-34.  One of the best tanks of WWII.  Had much influence on post-war tank design.  Ausf G was the final model of this tank. Early versions suffered from mechanical problems, due to lack of adequate testing. Produced until 1945. Saw action on all fronts. Gun had excellent anti- armor capability. Could out duel T-34 at long range. Excellent suspension system . Could traverse rough  terrain at speed. Over 5900 built. Served with the French army after  the war

wish i could skin and make a protype of that tank for ah. but dont know how to do that. and i heard it isnt easy to make a funtional tank. well for me anyways i thkn if people made some of the ones they wanted better chance of seeing it. the less they do the more we can get maybe.. dont know much about the programing of it. i think if you modify the othe tanks codes and change the settings to match the m18 it coudl work. but then i could be wrong about programming...lol
