On Board Audio Problems
« on: November 06, 2003, 07:42:01 PM »
I have the GA-K8VT800M Motherboard with the Realtek '97 onboard audio.

Sound works fine until I go into AH.

Once in AH the sound works for about 2 minutes and then it quits.

Once out of AH the sound still doesn't work.

To restore the sound I have to run the automatic sensing dashboard again.

Any suggestions?

I have the latest 4 in 1 drivers.

Maybe try turning the audio hardware acceleration slider down a few notches. I don't know where they hide that in WinXP, however. Was looking for it myself the other day, have yet to find it.

Go to:  Control Panel > Sound and Audio Devices > Volume Tab > Speaker Advanced Button > Performance Tab

Kind of convoluted but that's where it is.
