Wow..what a change.  The tracers are much improved (if not actually pretty damm kool).  Except the panzer shot still comes from about 10 yards to the right, and is a bit too much of a coil.
hey wait a minute.  tanks dont shoot tracers do they?
Just a red hot projectile:confused:

would be cool if the tank shells did glow like that, with barely any tracer.

yea..i saw in the history channel some footage of a tank firing on a test range.  You could see the shell traveling but no smoke from the round.  Now I dont know if this was a special round so they COULD see it, but it was really cool looking, expecially when it mashed into the target vehicle.  it was also an m1 abrahms from pre desert storm.
Anybody got any video clips on the subject?

would be a simple thing to make it look (from any distance) similar to the CV ack when it's seen from long range.

Many modern anti-veichle/anti-armor rounds have tracer without trail, specially the ones used for practice. New tracers look alot better in AH then the ones in patch 1 and 2.

Hows your opinion of the panzer tracer?  On my screen it looks, well, not good.  A giant coil, slinky, comes from about 10 yards right of the muzzle??  Not sure if thats just my system or what?
But In regards to the  smokeless tracer theory, I think a good tank round would look just like an AA gun does in AH?  And really, I have never seen a tank round with a smoke tracer?  anybody else?

that seems to be a bug/gfx glitch as i also noted this in the bug forum.
