Im curious as to which would better serve me better to run AH2....
A better vid card or a bigger processor.....
Im currently running a 1.3G Athlon with a GF3 TI 500 vid card, with 512 megs ram....am I better off getting a better vid card? or a faster processor?

You should be fine for ah2 with that . (bigger cpu would help overall) 2400+ amds are around $80 us right now.

I have a feeling some of the top end video cards are gonna get lower in price in the next few months ...

That system should be fine for AH2 when it goes final I should think.

Back to your question though, the only real answer is both. Upgrading the video card with your current CPU would probably gain you some performance, but you'd certainly be bottlenecked by the CPU and system. If you upgraded the system and CPU and reused the GF3 Ti 500 you probably wouldn't gain as much performance in games, but the system would be faster overall. You also wouldn't be bottlenecked with newer cards.

Intel just dropped cpu prices in rder to make way for the new top-liners. Maybe a good time to pick up yesterdays gemstone for a cheap price.
