I've flown 6 times, all 6 times ended up back at the desktop. They all seemed to happen at odd times --I would be in the air flying around, then suddenly, desktop! I couldn't really nail down any particular thing I was doing to cause it.
The only time it crashed when I wasn't in the air, I double-clicked on a spot in the ocean where a carrier icon
should have been. (The carrier was following its waypoint, but the icon doesn't display.)
