Other than the laws you broke(although I am glad that you say that you didn't drive), what made you feel good or "cool" about drinking?  Is it the fact that you lose control of your faculties?  The pain as your brain soaks in formaldhyde?  Maybe the slurring is something chicks dig?

believe it or not Gadfly, when every fraction of a second of your life is perfectly on rails at 200mph, it's quite a satisfaction to let everything completely loose every now and then.

When normally everything is bliss, it's a nice change to make everything completely suck, momentarily, and be reminded that you really are quite happy with things as a whole, with having control of things, sucking or blowing...

Decent answer, certainly better than, "because everybody was, and we got squid-wasted, Dude".

Well, to be honest, I get confused sometimes with drinking laws. An 18 year old can be drafted and sent off to war, but he can't have a beer. But given the choice between their license or beer, i'm sure they would choose their license.(they are more productive that way anyway)

JB i know man, i woulda done enter alot more , but i had to type fast.

As for the others, i think you missed the point, dont bother

posting if your gonna just tell me about the laws i broke, and that

im a clueless dolt, i have common sence, i know exactly which

laws i broke and everything else, of course i wouldnt drive after

ive been drinking, and you dont do it because it makes you

"cool" or anything like that, its a social thing, get togeather with

your buds, have afew beers whatever else, and just hangout

talk about girls, cars, jobs , stuff like that, and  btw i dont see

story, the purpose of this was for stories, im sure most of you

hungout with your buds in high school and drank afew beers and

partied, if not, well then man that must have been a boring way

to spend them good years, another thing is, these are some of

the best years, i got plenty of time to drink later when im old,

rightnow im young the girls are beautiful and lifes great. Anyways

back to the point, if anyones got any good stories about hangin

with your buddies POST EM! I think itll be some good laughs all in

all.(There easy for everyone to read, and fellas, id have to say

about 85% of my high school drinks now and again and goes to

parties occasionally, relaxing, lets you loosen up and bit, hell i

dont need to tell you what alcohol does, tons of people in this

drink all the time.)

It is more fun to stay sober around a bunch of drunks and laugh AT them instead of with them.

about 5-6 of us with nothing to do at 3am on the center 'plaza' of a small countryside village in rural France... very very drunk..
we're walking around shooting the watermelon around a bend of the road that goes around the church cemetary, high walls on both side, and only a bit of bad lighting from an old light post.
Out of nowhere, a car stops next to us; we immediately smell the pot, and through the music we hear a guy at the opposite side of the car saying rather enthusiastically
get out! get out!
They get out; we're still frozen in turpor, them getting out fast but awkward, two of them with bats and one with a chain. One of us at the front of the bunch starts running like a rabbit with everyone else following with a second.

All but two of the guys in the car chased us through the backyards and church cemetary, and a few of us through the streets with their car for the next half hour almost.

None of us got caught, somehow, and we never found out who they were.

Peak adrenaline for me was having the car run over a pile of wooden boxes I'd just climbed from into a backyard wall.

and the moral of the story is the french always run, even before they know they're surrendering, it borders on pre-cognition.

When I was 16, some buddies and I built an E-Z hut (8 x 8') out in the woods...lined with shag carpet.  We even had an electric fan running from a 200 ft. extension cord plugged into the neighboring apartments' outlet.  That was our clubhouse.

We decided to add on to the hut...a 10 x 14' room, complete with a 5 x 5 x 5' wine cellar.  At one point during the construction process, we needed more lumber, so we dismantled a nearby treehouse (a nice one too, about 14 ft up in the air.)

About two weeks later our hut burned up.  There was a newspaper article where it described 90 ft flames from a kid's playhouse back of the so and so apartments.

When the dump truck was backing up to load the debris after the fire, one of its double wheels landed in the pit we had dug, and it got stuck...

I heard it was a hell of an ordeal to get it out.:D

lmao Leslie, good story also, we also got club type thing, we built

it in this canyon close by, not near as good sounding as yours,

ours is circular about 7ft each way. and dug down into the dirt

about 4ft, so it gives us about 9ft total in height, if you can

picture those african huts made of thorn brush and stick, logs

stuff like that, it looks exactly like one of those, we call it

"The Bungalow" :D  fun times in that place.
