Author Topic: which option should I spend my money on? (Read 1309 times)

in two weeks I have saved enough money besides expenses to do one of the following:
1) 2 hrs dual flight training
2) get my Scuba license
3) go skydiving (for the first time)

option 1 would help me towards my PPL, but would not make a significant difference.
option 2 would offer some satisfaction in that I would actually acquire the ability to do something new and exciting
option 3 would be a great rush!

so...what do you think I should do? Fell free to suggest another options as well

Well seeing by your tag that you reside in Florida, I would suggest option #2. Prolly your best bang for the buck and a helluva alot of fun to boot.

Udet, I thought you've had some flight training? I may be mistaken, but if you have.. I would go scuba diving, I've done it once and it was a helluva experience.

yep SCUBA....

IMHO it is the most surreal experiance... breathing under water. my first time in the pool i never wanted to leave.

Udie,

Go with the Scuba. That certification will last for life. The others will last only for a very brief time. Unless you are really serious about learning to fly I suggest not getting any actual lessons. That will be money just thrown away unless you follow it up very soon and continue on. If you want to ride in a plane you can pay for that instead of lessons, or befriend a pilot and ask to tag along.

scuba!, only reason i say this is because you live close to great places to go diving at with beautiful underwater animals etc..., and sky diving is fun, but it only last what 30seconds? yea go with scuba!:D

I say scuba diving for 2 reasons:

1) its something I've always wanted to do.

2) why jump out of a perfectly good airplane?

I say Scuba. 2 hours flight training will be over in no time, the certification will give you the chance to do it anytime you want.

yeah, I have flight training and solo flights, but I haven't gotten my PPL yet.
I also think the scuba license gives the most bang for the buck.
some of my friends want to get their scuba too, so we might do it together.

Hmm... 2 hours flight time with a sweaty old flight instructor with bad breath? It can wait for winter. Being able to call a bikini wearing female scuba buddy for an afternoon of fun.........Priceless!

Have her wear her white bikini, as they look good wet.
