AAR for Mission 1-03

First off I want to thank all the squads and non squad pliots for taking part in "Operation Beer Run".  Intial reports are that the Fatherland took massive hits at their Ammo Depot East of the Rhine. 33 Ammo factories were destroyed.   Also reports are that B-26s BDA was 25% of the anti aircraft factory.  The B17's meet heavy resistance prior to hitting Primary target.  Lost couple of fomations, but the rest pushed on to primary. Reports on 880 Air Fleet and 78th FG have not become available and will be sent out when it does.
All and all I don't think things went to bad, target was hit and some of the Bombers made it home.  I know some of the fighters took heavy losses, but the greater mission was completed.  Like I said my plan had kinks in it but all and all you guys made it come together...  I want to make a special thanks to my G2 who wrote up my frag order,  2nd Lt Warlover.  I hope to see more of this type of thing in the future for the CT,  I think it is a break from the norm that it has become.

Again Thanks 339th FG, 78th FG, 880 Air Fleet, VF-17th, 322nd BG, and the 325th FG  and all the other guys that took part.  <>

Hey Stream<>, I was late tonight, but when I got in I must I was impressed. You hit hard and inflicted damage. The best thing about it was the fact that it had all the earmarks of being true to an actual battle. Not just the normal furballing.

It is nice to see that someone is not afraid to try something new to bring that bit of realism to the game that seems to be lacking in the CT as of late. It was also great to see both sides pull together and form massive strike forces to throw at each other.

Hey, this is going to be great bud, keep it up, and we will too.

The 322nd BG (M) fielded 12 aircraft (4 pilots) taking off from A99 with the Flak Factory at 17,14,1 as our Primary target.

Due to some confused signals we were late in forming up but managed to do so just before the target area.

Cons seemed to be very thick in our area for some reason and as such we were pretty hard hit. As we were operating at Medium altitude I imagine the reason being the cons found us "easier game" than climbing up to where the Heavies were flying. Was a real running gun battle all the way to and out from target.
to 78th FG, 880 FAA & Independent fighters for the escort. Without their valiant efforts we wouldn't have been able to make it at all.

After making it through the wall of fighters we were pretty roughed up and scattered but still managed to make fair bomb runs on the target. Estimated 25% of the factory complex destroyed.

AIRCRAFT LAUNCHED: 12 (4 Pilots)
AIRCRAFT LOST: 6
ENEMY AIRCRAFT DESTROYED: 11
DAMAGE TO TARGET: 25% Est.

to all that participated and for Stream & CO. for putting this together. We should make this a regular weekly thing in the CT.
