Wow..I remember that day!

Control surfaces that moved!

AT guys answering all kinds of questions!

AT guys boxing me in the canyons!

Learning fuel management and dropping the tanks!

That loooong walk from the tower to the hangar!

Dancing with the rudder on take-off!

OK...enough of that...I want 1.05!!!

I have been here since beta tour 1. I joined up a few days after it opened up to the public. For the first 2 beta tours i flew as Azriel, then about the end of beta tour 2 i changed to Spatula.

The game has come *along* way since then <S> HTC

LOL

I remember being so bad.  I poured an entire load of ammo from a Spit at a B-17.  The B-17 was flying straight and level, with no guns to protect itself.  I was definately within guns range, it was just very hard to fly with enough stability to hit a non-manuvering target.  After all my ammo ran out, the B-17 continued on to its target pretty much no worse for wear.

I had to hang my head in shame and laugh about how bad I was.  Not much has changed really!

I remember my first landing in the 109:  full flaps, chop throttle, crash, burn.

I'll never forget day 1 hopping into a P51, taking a look around, notice the incredible graphics, view, viewing system, SA, WOW! Even got a kill my first sortie! Don't remember details however   It was the end of WB's for me, all though I hung on to my acct. for 8 months longer in hopes my monetary contribution would help to support DoA which I didn't want to give up. What a waste that was.....

Here's to another year of Aces High and LONG LIVE HTC!.....CHEERS.

Got in on the later part of alpha testing, version .027. Has been a blast so far, plan on continuing it for a while anyway. Quit WB about two months later.

Heh, I had never heard of the game until Camo (who was experienced with WB) told about it as it was released. I have got new computer since then and lost the email with my password notification, but from top of my memory I got my first account in first days of October as "Snef", but two days and 13 dreadful sorties later I signed up again with my current callsign "Snefens".

Oh, those days. How about the smashing artwork of the B17 that seemed liked it was missing half of its body/paint?
And besides the canyons the all flat terrain?
Oh yeah, ack was a killer then. 3 acks at each field and even one up would make you think twice before going down to vulch.

THOSE were the days.

Myself as well as 12 other Buccaneers started AH on day 1.  We transfered over from that other game... what was that called? ... Anyway, we haven't looked back.  It's been the best flight sim year ever!

Started out in the middle of october... read about AH on AGW

Think it was ver. 34 or something... when the b17 didn't have guns, dropped bombs right through the bombbaydoors   and the 109G10 was nearly unflyable (altho that could have been me   ).

Started flying with hollywd (hey where did he go?? haven't seen him in awhile)...  under the handle JENG... then changed it after betatour 1 into Bee anyway the game has been getting better ever since... <S> HT CREW!!

Bee
