as for the WWII planes we just need the beufighter.

the S-199 is a g14(?) body with a different, much weaker engine, no nose cannon and gondolas - so just take G10+gondolas, dont push the throttle all the way forward and you got the S.199 (ok, plus a nose gun).
Pilots from the 101 said the S.199 wasn't much faster then the spit IX and definitly slower then the P-51, but still outclimbed them both. With a typical 109 short range and teribble ground handling sounds like it was a real death trap.

the jets - keep them away from aces-high. Unless HTC opens a seperate areana/game for them they have no room
in the game right now. the me262 is stretching it already.

As I told I know most of them are not form WW2

and more then thet the most interesting operations were done not in prop planes but in Jets.... But it is only thoughts.......

Would be nice to have some historical events after Kadesh..... unfortunatly we do not have suitable planeset.... once more only thoughts.

I recall the French Navy used Corsairs off carriers to take out Eqyptian Mig bases in the initial assault in Suez. There was a pretty good offline mission regarding that done up by someone for AW3.

You are going to see this in Kadesh scenario.

In last frame French Navy F4U-7 are going to strike Egyptian ports and airbases. Come as walkon - if you are not registered.

The Avia S-199 was a Czech buit version of the Bf-109G-6 with a a Junkers Jumo 004 engine (Out of the JU-88). The Jumo didn't put out near the power of the Mercedes Inline and was heavier. The S-199 was a VERY dangerous plane to fly since it was underpowered and had a center of gravity that was off.

While the "Official" Israeli name for the plane was "Knife" but the S-199's regular nickname was "MULE" giving you some idea of it's perfomance. I don't know where you read that it was faster & outperformed the Spit IX! Bet the IAI pilots that had to fly it wished it did!

If you are trying to copy it for a scenario the E model 109 would be a close match. But that would be VERY generous.

I'd tell more then that - it is not close to 109F - F turns like Spit 5. It is like 109g6 with 75% throttle - no turns no speed no climb. It had very bad perfomance and extreemly big torque on the engine. You must to push full range your pedals to make it stay on the runway. There were very big numbers of exidents where the S-199 was just bake 180 der roll after taking off and got down with gear up.

In IAF remember it and when planned missions of S-199 and Spit 9 together Spitfires should roll first and land first - if 109 crashes - not to stay on the runway to prevent from the rest to roll. Yes I really do not know how IAF pilots get kills with them - and they did.

For snapshorts I reskinned 109g6 (I know it is much better but I didn't want to give IAF bad plane

).

Anyway - I interested more in Mystere IVa and Super Mystere B2 and of cource Mirage III
