I know this is like a dead horse, but this map sucks for offensive tanks. I just drove 15 minutes to attack A4 and got killed just when I got into firing range. Got back in a new tank and same thing

I hate to complain, but a Panzer is all I can control from my laptop (travelling a lot) and it would be nice if I could spend less time driving only to get killed before I can even fire a single shot.

Hmm MidNight it sounds like you are not using the spawnpoints from the Vehicle Hangar. In the Square you click on to "take off" There is an "H" in the middle but there is also other buttons around, click one of those and you will spawn closer to a target. In fact a lot of people think that its possible to spawn too close to targets, and sometimes I tend to agree with them

The other thing about your Laptop... Why can you only control Vehicles from it? - Is it because of too low framerate/screen quality or other things? Or is it because you have no joystick? If its because of missing stick I can recommend Microsoft SideWinder Precision Pro, it has Rudder, trottle stick all in one, and can be used both as USB and serial port Stick. If you later want to have rudder pedals you can upgrade it with Hoffmann Pedals.

Thanks.../

I do use the spawn points, but on this current map, you are still a long ways from target, especially if you have to go up hill. In most cases, the tank won't even climb the grade unless you go up in a zig-zag pattern.

As for the stick, yes I don't have one for the laptop, and a MS Sidewinder is far to big to lug around while trying to travel light. If I always had a big suitcase, maybe I could make room.

I agree with Midnight, however, there are as many people who think that the beta map spawn points were too close, so I don't know if this will ever be fixed in this map...hope that the new terrain finds a midway point between the Beta and this map, to make everyone happy.

Panzers and Osty's are just as effective, you just have to do some coordination.  Get some high cover into the sector first... as a distraction.  Its much easier to sneak ground vehicles in after there is already a red bar in the sector known to be aircraft.

Being at the base in 3 minutes should be the exception... not the rule.  The beta map was the first map we saw those fast travel times.  As a result, we saw 2x more kills from panzers and Osty's than we normally see.
