Some features/changes I'd like to see:
Friendly Player Finder:
--> You can search for a specific player (friendlies only), and their dot is highlighted on the map.
--> You can click on a dot (friendly only) on the map, and see who the player is.
GV Modeling:
--> Tanks do not blow up when you roll over building debris!! Any sort of serious damage would also be unlikely. Ever see a real tank hit a real wood-frame building?
--> Make it possible to bail from a tank. Happens in real life. Your turret is out, it's unlikely you're going to survive another hit . . . make it possible to bail out and save yourself from dying. The shooter would still get some sort of credit (not sure what), but the bailer would get some credit for bailing and running back to the base, or joining another player's nearby GV as a gunner, for example.
--> Vehicles do not blow up simply because you accidentally rolled one over gently at 10 mph on a steep hill. Sure, if you do somersaults in your Panzr at 70 mph, you're gonna die. But, just because you accidentally tip over your M3 at low speed, should not mean you should get an automatic, instant death. Some of this "anti-realism" really irks me sometimes. Perhaps it can be that your GV has rolled over and you need someone to bring you vehicle supplies in order for you to right yourself.
Landing:
--> Be able to make successful lands at Cities and Factories. Or, is this already possible? It never seems to work for me.
--> No ditches when you land two feet off the runway. Rewarding true runway landings is fine, but penalization for barely taking it off the runway (particularly for perk points) is silly. Can you imagine in real life miraculously landing your completely battered plane after shooting down several others, rolling your plane a little off the runway . . . and having your CO say that even though you "kicked arnold up there", that there'll be no promotion for you because you didn't stay on the runway! What kind of doctrinaire SOB would that be?
Building Destruction:
--> Make the destruction of objects like City buildings more visually realistic, such as what we have with the HQ bldng, SB's, aircraft Hangars, etc.
--> Make objects that are damaged but not destroyed look damaged. It should be clear that a Hangar is 85% destroyed.
--> Make it harder to destroy objects. It's silly that a single fighter can take out a town by careful use of bombs and rockets, and ridiculous that a few hundred rounds of 50-cal bullets can obliterate a several story building. It should require high explosive ordnance to destroy most large objects.
Kill-Shooter:
--> Modify or eliminate Kill-Shooter. I've been affected by this perhaps only twice, so it doesn't bother me too much, but both times it has resulted in me losing a 262. When I'm chasing down and shooting at an enemy plane, yahoo friendies stupidly drop in right in front of all the time, but if I'm shooting 50-cals, I'm not likely to cause instant reverse damage on myself, and can live to curse the jerk who pulled in front of me. In a plane that shoots 20mm's with some punch or some 30mm's, one bullet is going to do the trick. Dumb. It makes no sense to penalize a good player because an idiot passed right in front of him at the wrong moment. In the absence of a really great alternative, I am in favor of simply having friendly bullets hit friendly planes and causing no damage period. You can't shoot them down, you can't shoot yourself down, and the bullets also don't go through the other plane.
Clipboard:
--> I like some of the new clipboard features in AH2B3, but I really don't like the appearance. I suspect that what we see in AH2B3 is not the final version, but I would hope to retain the previous appearance/format.
New Machinery:
--> Anything and everything that could be added in the way of aircraft, ground vehicles, watercraft, etc. has already been mentioned before, including this one, but I have to add another plug for . . . Submarines.
