Message board use

I'm getting pretty tired of the trolls/baits/flames that people feel the need to interject into threads and pollute whatever usefulness the thread had.  This message board serves an informational and recreational role.  We've been pretty liberal with the board and would like to continue to be.  But enough is enough.  There's enough traffic to try and wade through without having to filter through a flamewar in every otherwise meaningful thread.  You got the O'club where you can start a new topic if you really feel like the rest of this community is really interested in that tripe, but show some respect to the rest of the community and quit hijacking threads and turning them into petty squabbles.

Pyro;

This is why you should do away with the General Discussion Forum.  People don't want to post anywhere else because they know that this is the one forum that is read often.

In fact, shouldn't this very topic be posted under News and Anouncements?

Dang, I hope I am not changing the topic here...  Just tryin to help solve this problem.

 Yes Pyro I agree with this. There were many intresting messages I have started to read then just closed the browser because of the name calling and put downs.

Oh Boy!  Here we go!
Rock:  Ya see that Ensign, lighting the cigarette?
Powell: Yes Rock.
Rock: Well that's where I got it, he's my son.
Powell: Really Rock, well I'd like to meet him.
Rock:  No ya wouldn't.
