Tell that to the people who bought a Ford Explorer with FIRESTONE tires on it... a tire company owned by BRIDGESTONE, I believe...

which is a JAPANESE tire company.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

You'd think a company like Ford would test the tyres (yes, it's spelt with a Y) they were using. By the way, I constantly hear that the Ford Explorer is a fake off-roader and is about as comfortable as riding bare arsed on a camel. So how come you Americans like it so much. Over here you can pick up a nearly new explorer for less then a chinese take away.

Ford Explorer owner here. Very comfortable ride. We take it on long trips back to Montana quite a bit, and use it off-road as well. I love Explorers. Almost bought a new one last week, but good judgement kept me holding onto our 99' model (I wanted a bigger engine, wife talked us out of it)

FDSS, I bet your one of those kiddies that put a trash can sized muffler on your little lupo that makes it sound like my gas-powered weedeater. I bet you think it makes it go faster too.   LOL

All your so-called R&D does is stress those little moped engines to the breaking point which makes them useless in 2 yrs. You have to admit that sometimes there is just no substitute for Cubic Inches.

Small Blocks for small errr uh...minds.   :D

Large cubic inches to substitute small penile inches, more like.   :p

Ripsnort, I meant no offense by what I said. I'm sure some versions of the Explorer are very comfortable.   ;)
