Need Medical Advice
« on: November 16, 2003, 08:16:17 PM »
Does anyone have medical knowledge on viruses and perhaps can help me?..Me wife got sick a couple of days ago and yesterday broke out in hives and had severely aching joints. She drove herself to a medical clinic where she was examined by two doctors...They seemed to come to the conclusion that she had 2 viruses affecting her by examining the two different types of bumps...They said that it was at the end of the sickness as the bumps are a good sign that the body is rejecting the bugs.

Well today I had to drop her off at the hospital(they wouldn't let me in with our 11 month old baby)..She is unable to walk and is in severe pain..a nurse went and got her a wheelchair to take her in.

Well it's been 7 hours and countless exams and none of the doctors know what the hell she is battling. The pain is getting worse though they gave her painkillers recently.

I'm just waiting at home very uneasy and thought maybe someone here has seen this before.

Thnx in advance.

Off the top of my head, but did she get checked for Lyme Disease?

I'll think about it tonight...

I hope she recovers quickly, let us know how she is doing.

It sounds as if she is having a reaction to something.. Is she allergic?

I don't know what is it, I just want to know were thinking of you and your wife SirLoin!

Hope they find out what it is and can cure it quickly so you two can get back to what you were doing 11 months ago.:)

Just a thought, you don't need to be in deep grass to get ticks, I belive there known to drop from the trees. They kindof Dive Bomb  , they attach to anything warm, they can even feel the heat radiating from your body.

Mom says possibility of tick, deer tick caries lyme disease. Very tiny ticks.

Lyme disease can lie dormant for a period before emerging...

Either way Sir Loin,  I will add your wife to my prayers this evening.  Take care to her and your family.
I regret doing business with TD Computer Systems.

Active Ingredients (in each 15 ml tablespoon):

Acetaminophen 325 mg (pain reliever/fever reducer)
Dextromethorphan HBr 10 mg (cough suppressant)
Pseudoephedrine HCl 30 mg (nasal decongestant)

Doesn't sound like there's anything suspect in the DayQuil to me.  My wife is going to post the symptoms on her BBS, if it's okay with you.  There are some medical professionals there.

This sounds alot like the way a person would react to a venomous insect/animal bite.  I think the body produces histamine and that causes the wierd reactions.
