I feel sorry for France.

From another BBS:

"1346 - Crecy - heavy rainfall before match, England secure notable away win over French. The Earl of Warwick, blind-side flanker of his day, had just returned from injury. No tries. Vanquished moan about 1 trick archers.

1415 - Agincourt - heavy rain before match, England, having been disappointing in the earlier campaign when so much was expected of them, secure notable away win over French, due not least to exemplary leadership. No tries. Vanquished moan about 1 trick archers.

1805 - Trafalgar - Rain before match. Heavily waterlogged pitch. Severe handling errors lead to breaking of French line in several places. No tries. Vanquished moan about unfair use of unpredictable tactics.

1815 - Waterloo - heavy rain before match, England (ish) defeat French on neutral territory. No tries. Vanquished moan about lack of flamboyance in using the "square" tactic.

2003 - Sydney - heavy rain.... oh well you get the picture.

Now far be it from me, a barbour-wearing rosbif, to arrogantly suggest God might be an Englishman, but the odds of him being French are lengthening by the day. :-)"

Only problem is that wifey is going to be supporting Oz so we probably won't be talking to each other next week...

It was just like playing in England, Straff, but not as wet or cold.

I don't know who will win... but I'm going to struggle to get down to the pub on saturday morning. Around 8am Brit time start isn't it? It was bad enough on Sunday. After being out the night before the smell of beer never sits well with me at that time of the morning.

To beat Oz in Oz would be too good to be true.

England is England.

Britain is England, Wales, and Scotland.

The United Kingdom is Britain + Northern Ireland.

The United Kingdom is Great Britain (England, Scotland, Wales) and Northern Ireland. The proper name for the U.K is the "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland."

Therefore, England is part of Great Britain, which is part of the United Kingdom.

I was there and while it wasn't cold it was certainly damn wet! As bad weather as I have ever seen at Twickers or the Arms Park (as was).
