I know the rest of you states are jealous so lets see the vitriol.... I know how you feel so don't hold back.... I was really jealous and depressed for a while when that weird liberal state voted for the wrestler for gov.

:lol

Well, as a citizen of that weird liberal state, I can state catagorically that Jesse "the body" Ventura was without doubt, the most useless governor Minnesota has ever had. He didn't do jack.

I hope Ahnold does more for California than Jesse did for Minnesota.

To be honest, he can't be any worse than the last 2 from Texas.

really?  ventura didn't do anything?  well... that's not the best but its far better than doing harm...

ol AHHNIE allready did a huge amount of the right thing... he repealed two very repugnate laws...  My way of judging a good official is by how many laws he repeals... the more the better.

I think lazs has a point about doing minimal harm.  Our current NV governor is doing a much worse job than an inflatable doll would do.

That is exactly my point.   we would be no worse off if we filled all the government offices with inflatable dolls...  because, some laws and taxes would simply expire thereby improving life.   no new laws would be passed  thereby improving life.   We would not be sujected to soundbites unless we inadvertantly used on of funked's dolls but... "put it in me big boy" and "oh I don't think I can take all of that" would still be an improvement.

I don't get it....

he leaves his homeland to make another for himself.....to try and better his current life....

he comes to the US and becomes MR.UNIVERSE....he worked day in day out to become that.....all standards for becoming Mr.Universe where laid down by Arnold.

once his career of body building is over.....he becomes 1 of the most paid and viewed individuals in the world by making movies....

he has alot of BALLS....more then most of any of you rutabagas on these here boards....including me

don't let the accent fool ya.....he has come a long way.

he takes up a new challenge.....HELP his community

I bet he succeeds...like in everything else he's done

slo... I think most people in CA. are happy about him making it.

I just think that all the other states are envious because they are still stuck with the big hair televangilist/news anchorman models for their govs.

I heard on NPR yesterday that Ahnold is going to do the same exact thing that Davis was going to do to get California out of the red....namely, borrow his way out. Is that true? If so, how does that make him any better than Davis?

Sounds to me like since Ahnold is going to do the same thing that Davis was to get out of the red, the only difference is that Davis would've had to borrow only 8 billion, whereas Ahnold will have to borrow over 17 billion, since he repealed those car taxes.

So, California Republicans are ok with borrowing that kind of coin as long as it's a Republican Gov doing it?

Got it.

From memory, cause I don't feel like googling. Ahhnold became rich from a very successful brick laying business he ran on the side while training for Mr. Universe. He is a brilliant businessman as well as a mediocre and overpaid actor. He just might make a dam good Gov.

Don't be too pestimistic about Arnold, - He has succeeded with most things he touched so far.
I wish him good luck.
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)
