I don't see this as proof that the media is controlled by some liberal mastermind...quite the opposite. There was no mind, master or otherwise, at work, period. It's a pretty insignificant article but i honestly don't think it is trying to draw comparisons between Bush and Hitler or the US and wartime Germany. I read as suggesting that choosing this name is a pit of faux pas as it was, unknown to the people who choose it, used by the Nazis. Nothing more nothing less.

Its another not so subtle attempt by certain media outlets to insult this administration. Nothing wrong with that, because god knows they've got plenty to work with, but a story like this is simply silly and an embarassment to the service who decided to publish it.

"Eisenhammer" is a natural german word while "Iron Hammer" is a stupid unnatural combination in English.

 Hammers are iron by default and the material only specified when they are not made of iron - like "bronze hammer".

 Anyway, the disignation "Iron Hammer" is just another example of a smithy fetish someone has in US military operation-naming department.
