I have been accused of having a fart can.
I think it growls more than farts.

Doesn't matter what you have, unless you have an 8cylinder under the hood it sounds like crap.

The sound coming from a R/C car is more intimidating.

If you like the sound of two cats fighting, then you'll love the sound of a 4 cylinder, or low output 6 cylinder going through a craptermarket faux straight pipe exhaust kit.

If you like the deep growl of a real engine, then its a V8.

Don't get all huffy because you drive a car that sounds like its going through puberty.

Actually seawulfe, I drive a car that can spank most V8s in the quarter that aren't blown. And it doesnt even bother with that cylinder crap.

Also, I find it worthy to note that the rest of my family also are gearheads, with my brother owning a Challenger and Charger and my father a Charger and a 'Cuda, so I fully appreciate the all-out muscle those cars put out. However I find it really aggrevating that most guys with cars from that era tend to have a serious attitude problem when referring to todays imports, when in reality us kids are just them 30 years ago.

Sad thing this summer was when my local import club tried to form an alliance with the local classic club. (under the premise that we are all the same really) Unfortunately some of the older men in the Classics couldn't handle it and we ended up having to quit doing shows with them. Very sad that a buncha 20somethings can show more maturity then people 3 times their age.

So yeah, I'm sick of the muscle car attitude, because it sucks. The only great thing about it is the satisfaction knowing how embarrassed some of the guys I've wasted with my little tiny 1.3L are.

What does your car going fast have to do with it sounding gay compared to the nice deep tone of a V8 through a pair of Flowmasters?

V-8 is nice, but a V-12 or V-16 is incredible.  The circa-1960 Ferraris with engines designed by Carlo Chiti (incidentally the guy who designed the Subaru F1 engine) are the sweetest sounds I have ever heard.  Detroit V-8's sound crude by comparison.
