As I see it, the current maps are just not big enough to support the numbers we have in the MA these days. Before the influx of guys from AW, we would typically have 75-150 pilots in the MA ... and the maps worked perfectly.

However, nowadays, we typically have 150-350 in the MA ... with the same maps. 350 pilots crammed into Mindanao is a nightmare ... I mean it is just a nasty furball on every front. The other two latest maps were reset so fast I didnt even have a chance to fly on them. Both gone in like two days? No we are stuck on Mindanao again for who knows how long.

Anyone else think the maps just need to be designed to be spread out a bit more or something? Or increase distances between grids? Not sure what the solution is, but it seems to make sense that 350 ppl are not going to fit comfortable on a map designed for 175 ppl.

Had a blast tonight. Plenty of big fights, and plenty of room to hunt and get in small fights too. I don't see the problem.

I agree Nim, the maps are to small with MA numbers up it is furball city at almost every base until the numbers fall.

I agree Nimitz..Perhaps a second MA with rotating maps,that way if you don't like one you have the choice of another.<S!>

Nothing but furrballs, allways gets you killed sooner or later, even though you might score many kills your self, no fun.

Id love to see bigger maps,speaking from a bomber pilot point of view,its getting a bit hard to climb to alt without bumping into enemy a/c after a short time,bigger map= more time to climb to my operational alt,maps are too small for number of guys playing.

I wouldn't be surprised if there are a number of people who would like to see a WarBirds-type Historical Arena set up.
That would take some of the pressure off the Main - maybe 25-50 a night. That is where the a lot of the real fun in WarBirds was for me. As the Japanese planeset expands and PTO setups become viable, the numbers in the HA should increase.

The CT fell short of what most people were hoping for I think.

bigger maps if you want but fields closer together.

mindmao is the best even tho it's impossible to spell.

Maps are fine as far as I'm concerned, kinda wish we had more vehicle participation though. One they get the ct right the numbers in ma should thin out some.

Too many people in the arena ending resulting in big furballs and large battles? I don't see a problem with that at all.

If a good numebr of people packed into a decent sized arena makes it hard to have a mission I can understand your problem. But the arena size is not a solution. Making the arena isn't the answer. Changing inflight dot dar is

AWACS radar ensures that you are seen no matter where you are so that your options for a mission are narrowed down to grabbing to an insane alt from a rear base or taking your chances coming in at a regular altitude. Or fly a fighter and dogfight. I prefer to dogfight. In the end I am somewhat sympathetic to the problems of jabo'ing as a group these days with the large numbers in the arena. Who are not to be confused with skilless solo disruptionists fluff flyers.

But not to assume anything or put words in your mouth but I'm curious as to what it is exactly you could do with less numbers online that you cannot with more now?

The problem may be with the map layout which leaves about 90% of the West countrys bases safe from attack while the two countrys in the East have many more bases which can be attacked.Maybe this layout is not good for three country war.
