Strafed a PT boat once with an Arado... spotted him from a ways off while he was sneaking up a shoreline, dove behind a ridgeline, turned off engines so I could sneak up on him at 400mph.  Zoom climbed as I passed over him and shot him with my tail guns in external view.  Took 2 passes to get him.  I could tell I surprised him on the first pass, he went crazy shooting in the air trying to find me.

A tipless 262 looks cool... batwing look.  Rolling sorta sucks though.

recently ditched a 152 with no v stab, could've landed.

heard someone succesfully did some airborne figure in one of the tanks. pretty good considering you die if you plow even a little hard on touchdown.

Squad training in the TA:  Flew a 163 through a fighter hangar at 575mph.  Midnight got his to 600 through the hangar.  :D

I hit an attacking fighter with a smoke shell from a panzer once.  Left a smoking cloud about 200 feet above the runway.

Fun stunts, keep 'em coming.

Finally managed to turn around a Zeke and take off over the back end of a carrier.

Next test will be if can engage hook and make that slingshot bug launch a planned short takeoff over the stern.  Sounds too weird, doesn't it?

But can't figure out how in the world anyone can land on a cruiser.  Where, on the bow?  The stern has zilch room and that seaplane crane in the way.

Likewise I haven't figured the trick in landing on a hangar or other building.  Approach low and slow and then pull up at the last minute to stall on the roof?

Apparently most planes can be flown through hangars (though not many inverted), but I haven't gotten a B-17 through yet.  Is that possible?

to land on hangers or other buildings you need to be offline or in a hth room with 120 wind...

the only stunt i've done so far was land a niki on a carrier. wasnt too hard comin in slow and applying the brakes. the only reason i did it was 5 kills and no gas.

Done that twice; if I hadn't rolled the M8 with HE rounds to shoot up a town, I don't think it would have worked.

More fun, though, was the one flat-out shot-full-of-luck shot where I managed to hit an ackstarring B-17 with a 75mm HE round from a Panzer. I must have hit the fuselage dead on, because there was an explosion and nothing left but pieces. Compared to that shot, even killing the vulching TBM with an HE round is chicken feed.

Neat, Shiva.  That reminds me -- couple times I've shot down aircraft with a shore battery.  Much like skeet shooting with a deer slug.

On the subject of flying a B-17 through a hangar, better first spawn from a bomber hangar whose doors are open wide enough for the wings to pass through.

Tonight I spawned a B-17 in a hangar, went to F4 and watched the wingtips pass through the hangar walls.  That doesn't work in reverse, however.  When I taxied back into the hangar, the wingtips tore off.

I spawned there again, observed the wingtips passing through the doors again, then taxied across the field to another hangar whose doors were open enough (barely) to let the B-17 taxi through it.

Go figure.
