I wont hunt until the deer can shoot back. To me its defenceless and I find it no fun. I dont hunt though and Ill let the others keep the deer population down. Put yourself in the deers shoes once. No way in hell I would want to be there.

I'm glad hunting is still legal, otherwise all those rifles in my safe would just be for plinking, and whoever heard of plinking with a 300 win mag? :D

Eat what you kill....unless we're talking about the squirrel that tried to get in my attic....it would take a week to pick out all the birdshot.

Guess I would have to say I'm pro-hunting  ;)

I guess I could talk about the millions spent for conservation by hunters and fishermen. Or the thousands of pounds of game meat donated to fight hunger every year. Or the connection you feel to nature when your out there. Learning to appreciate the beauty. But also how to read nature. How to understand it in a way that you don't just from looking at it. What attracts the animal. What signs it leaves. Where to find them. How it really is a spiritual thing to me.

But really, I hunt because it is in me. It is a part of me.  Especially after I eat what I shot.

:D

I don’t have anything against most hunting, but certain hunters are really starting to bug me. Last year some dip**** put up a tree stand on my property. We raise horses and the last thing I need is some Daniel Boone wannabe popping off a rifle at something moving in the morning fog.

And the same dip**** or one of his associates kept taking down a section of our fence. I got so tired of repairing it finally just put a gate there.

Metal gates are really sweet to climb over, none of the hassles of a fence.

This the Animal thread?

Sorry.

Didn't you see the animal attack video of a hunter getting the **** kicked out of him by a deer?  The video was taken by the guys wife.  She kept filming instead of trying to stop the attack....

I can't kill anything mammialian, practice catch and realease too.

That's just me, I like guns and don't mind others hunting responsilby...but there are some hunters that I'd like to see the tables reversed on.

I would catch and release the deer, but I don't think they'd make it very far.
