Dare we thank them? Or should we just b*tch about something else...and louder this time!

Gimme an H!
Gimme a T!
Gimme a C!

What's that spell???

I dunno..it isn't a word.

Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

We're very happy with the results, but we still have a lot of work left to do to get the existing plane models integrated with the new changes in the flight engine.

Bah...take all the time you need!!!

WTG HTC!!!!!

You realize RAM, this will make your hated Spitfire more powerful.

Well, Spits need a chance

And I trust HTC will make the changes balancing.

RAM,
true, but turn fighters like the Spit, C.202, N1K2 and A6M5b are going to benefit from this more than the BnZ aircraft.

Keep in mind, I fly Bf109G-10s, one of the aircraft that will be least affected by this.

How do you know that G10 will be least affected that Spitfire?

Pyro said there was some work still to adapt the planes to the new FM...but said nothing about WICH planes would be better in this regard   only that they'd lose less speed...ALL of them

Still they'll lose speed...and E-fighting in my A8 will be easier because the less E burned

It sounds like they are leaning towards more of a WB type FM. Might speed the game up some. We,ll see.

RAM,
I know that the G-10 will be less affected by it because unlike the Spitfire, it does not live and die by its turning.  It lives and dies by its speed and climb.

But the real comparison will stay the same between planes...it Spit  loses less speed in a turn, then 109 will do it too ,and so 190, and so F4U, and so...

Planes will turn better. all of them. I dont see how will this change the bassic ACMs used in AH...

THe one who starts turning will die at the hands of the one bouncing him in E-fighting...

So my guess is that you'll stay in the G10

I know I'll stay in a G-10.  The fact is though, the Zero and Spitfire will probably be able to do hard brakes 30% longer or so, which means they'll require an extra pass or two to kill.

Here's another thought, if we can turn better, will we shed wings more readily?

Hmmm...I really LIKED the fact that E-bleed was greater in AH than any other sim I've tried to date.I tried applying lessons taught in Shaws Fighter Combat in WB and nothing seemed to work until I flew AH a while. Then I learned that it was possible to transition from angles tactics to energy tactics and back, when needed.I don't claim to be proficient at this but I'm learning .
Well,my main want in a flight-sim is FM realism and if HTC are convinced the coming changes are more real world physically correct,I have to believe they know better than I!

I do have one question about this. The wings tearing off planes(some times at suprisingly slow speeds)has been a real problem. Will anything be done about this, in conjunction with the FM changes?

I often as not use all kinds of tricks to scrub speed in a N1k2 to keep the wings on during a pass.
