One of the truly great aviation stories of World War II is of the Normandie-Niemen Groupe, a volunteer Free French fighter regiment that served on the Eastern Front for almost the entire campaign. A total of 95 pilots flew with the regiment...42 of whom were lost in combat. Overall they claimed 273 aerial victories against the Luftwaffe over the course of 5,240 operational sorties.

Come recreate the Air Battles around Smolensk in the Summer of 1944 in the Saturday Night 'Check Six' Event.
